There was a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning to the end

He noted that first came her date of her birth
And spoke the following date with tears
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years

For that dash stands for all the time
That she spent alive on earth.

Look, I don’t wanna brag but I think this is the best app commercial ever. I spent all of last night looking for fun/over the top app commercials and I just couldn’t find any. I found a bunch of amazingly well done app commercials but nothing like this. I’m very proud of this.

Look this is great music… I just spent my morning listening to it. It’s free go download it, have some fun. Support Geis, this dude is a great dude who would do anything for you.

I even used them in today’s update to my 365project

In the summer of 2010 I flew to North Carolina and spent 2 weeks with my friends and bandmates from the Woods. It was a wonderful time spent with people I don’t get to see often enough.   We wrote and recorded six short songs together- I feel the first real collaborative effort we’ve made since living in Tallahassee together (we came out with an EP a couple years ago, each member contributing their part over the internet).  It has a different feel than our previous stuff and I really love it.  The project is called Tiny Ridge Walkers, having to change our name because of the popularity of another band called Woods.  

It’s a free download from bandcamp, so I hope you take some time to listen to it and share it with your friends if you like it.  Thanks!
